Montessori Leaf Cabinet Materials

Leaf Cabinet Insets & Frames PDF

This PDF includes the entire cabinet of insets and frames, with control chart.

Print and laminate your inset cards. They are on separate pieces of paper, because it helps to cut them out much easier.

You can use your control chart to help you organize your insets. They can be kept in labeled envelopes.

This cabinet is first introduced during Montessori Sensorial. Do what works for your child.

This cabinet is used to help your child experience the shape and form of leaves. collecting and matching leaves to the forms in the cabinet is a wonderful activity. The cabinet is about exploration.

Your child can match the insets to the frames much like a puzzle. They can also trace the frames and insets much like the Montessori Metal Insets, for writing preparation.

There are many lessons available online to work additional activities at home with your child.

Montessori Leaf Cabinet Figure Cards PDF

This set of PDF Leaf Figure Cards correspond with your Leaf Cabinet Material, though the cabinet in not necessary to use these cards. There are a set of three grading cards for each figure in the cabinet.

The Figure Cards are first introduced during Montessori Sensorial.

Do what works for your child.

Your child can work with just a few sets of cards to start, and progress from there. Our children matched our Leaf Insets to the form cards as well. They are designed to help your child associate shape and form, in moving from a solid shape, to the thick lined figure, to the most abstract being the thin lined figure.

The cards are used to help your child experience the shape and form of leaves, as they grade and visually track the details and form of each image.

You can use your control chart to help you organize your cards into sets. They can be kept in labeled envelopes. We stored ours by Leaf Cabinet drawer, so you can store the first line of figures together from your control chart, and continue with the second and third. You can however, organize them however you wish.

There are many lessons available online to work additional activities at home with your child.

Montessori Leaf Form 3 Part Cards & Control Chart

This PDF includes Leaf Form 3 Part Cards & Control Chart. They correspond with the Montessori Leaf Cabinet material, though having the cabinet is not necessary.

We created a simple folder to hold our cards with green card stock, and staples.

We used these cards a little after we introduced the Leaf Cabinet during Sensorial at home. Do what works for your child.

These cards are used to help your child further explore and classify shape and form.

They can help your child to retain the names of leaf forms.

Your child can begin by matching the image to image, images and labels to the control card.

There are many lessons available online to work additional activities at home with your child.

 Enjoy!!
